Man dies after being hit by lorry near Peckham High Street

A man has been hit and killed by a lorry near Peckham High Street this afternoon.

According to Police,they were called “by the London Ambulance Service at 12:58hrs to a collision involving a lorry & a pedestrian. The pedestrian, a man believed to be in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene. We are working to inform next of kin.”

Buses are diverted in the area due to road closures.

Any witnesses or those with dash cam footage are asked to contact police on 101 quoting CAD 3432/8 Jan.
