Serious accident closes A2 in Greenwich

A serious accident has occurred on the A2 near the Blackwall approach flyover closing the road.

Traffic is extremely heavy in the Greenwich area with the A2 closed at Sun in the Sands roundabout.

Alongside Saturday shoppers and concerts at the o2 it is the opening day of new Greenwich music venue Magazine so traffic would already be slow going.

UPDATE: The road reopened around 6pm.
