Dartford Tunnel closure causing long delays

One of the Dartford tunnels has been closed due to engineering work leading to long queues this morning heading northbound from Kent to Essex.

Further closures of the bridge are possible later if wind speeds reach a high enough level.

Current queues are almost back to the junction with the M20. The engineering work was due to end at 10am though it’s unclear whether that has actually happened.
