Bexleyheath’s Townley Grammar School to expand
Plans to expand Bexleyheath’s Townley Grammar have been submitted to Bexley Council.
A new building will accommodate science laboratories, a new standard classroom and associated prep rooms. A green roof and solar panels will be located on the roof.
Building design and height is intended to be in keeping with existing buildings. Intake of pupils increased in 2017.
Bexley borough is one of the few left in London that retains grammar schools.

As a private renter with a young family, the cost of living is extremely high.
Support me and the site via Paypal here which allows me to focus time on researching and writing posts alongside taking photographs to document changes. Adverts are far from enough to cover living costs.
Another option is via my Patreon account by clicking here
I also have a Facebook page for the site here
Thank you
