Southeastern stations nominated for step free access
Twenty two stations across the Southeastern network have today been nominated for step free access.
South East London stations on the Dartford lines listed are Sidcup, Kidbrooke, Falconwood, Erith and Albany Park.
There has been a long campaign to have step free access as Erith.
Kidbrooke is a bit odd as it’s being rebuilt alongsode new towers and a new bridge was already included in plans. Perhaps they were previously dependent on this funding.
Nominated stations now go to the Department for Transport for approval.

Struggle to understand why Hither green is not in this list. Are they planning something bigger?
Can someone share the source? A link?
Very interesting as Sidcup and Kidbrooke already have tamp access to both platforms
Lewisham requires a pole vault to get from the train to platform 2.
Hi, please confirm source. I understand Hither Green received the most votes and is in fact on the shortlist. Need to clear this up. Thank you.
Hither Green is on an earlier list with design work underway. This is a successor list. Source: https://newsroom.southeasternrailway.co.uk/news/22-southeastern-stations-nominated-for-step-free-access-funding-in-south-east-london-kent-and-east-sussex
Why not Grove Park platform 1 has no step free for the shuttle train from Bromley North
Good this is being done but hope other rail lines follow suit, as had a nightmare journey last weekend. 7hrs instead of 2 as elephant and castle was not accessible on my mobility scooter.
after making it step-free, they can change the name of Battle
