Uber Eats and Deliveroo drivers protest in Greenwich town centre

A large number of mopeds and bikes descended on Greenwich town centre to protest earlier today against Deliveroo and Uber Eats. Delivery drivers also stopped take away deliveries.

Protesters have campaigned in various locations recently, and complain that payment for deliveries has been reduced without sufficient consultation.

One person reported around 20 bikes at Greenwich town centre. This video shows the bikes:

The protest was part of a nationwide day of strikes and action against McDonalds, Uber Eats, Deliveroo, TGI Friday and Wetherspoons.

Running a site alone takes time and a fair bit of money. Adverts are far from enough to cover it and my living costs as a private renter.

I've lived in south east London most of my life growing up in Greenwich borough and working in the area for many years. The site has contributors on occasion and we cover many different topics. Living and working in the area offers an insight into what is happening locally.
