Apparent stabbing in Abbey Wood

Police and ambulances have descended on Abbey Wood due to a suspected stabbing.

An area on Wilton Road was photographed with police tape and other vehicles were seen outside Sainsbury’s on Harrow Manorway.

It is believed that a van pulled up outside one bookies, two guys then jumped out and attacked people outside the betting shop.

Locals have been complaining for years about persistent anti-social behaviour on Wilton Road with much associated to two betting shops.

In recent weeks one individual has been tweeting authorities about issues but rarely ever received a response.

The street saw an upgrade recently but some local residents state underlying issues do not appear to have been addressed. The borough boundary runs down the middle of Wilton Road which has always been a hindrance.

Other reports state possibly one arrest and door to door enquiries ongoing in the area.

I've lived in south east London most of my life growing up in Greenwich borough and working in the area for many years. The site has contributors on occasion and we cover many different topics. Living and working in the area offers an insight into what is happening locally.
