This year’s Greenwich & Docklands International Festival (GDIF) begins this weekend with the opening night tomorrow in Woolwich town centre.

The first event on Friday 21 August is at General Gordon Square from 7pm where “360” will take place, with an event based around a circular stage in the square.

Dozens of events then follow until 6 September. Click here to view the programme.

A wide range of events are being held in Greenwich Park on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd August.

Greenwich peninsula sees an event the week after alongside more in Woolwich before most events the last week are held in east London.

Stratford is the site of many events on 5 September.

There’s plenty more too either side of the river including Thamesmead and East Ham throughout the duration, and it’s well worth having a look through to see if anything takes your fancy.
