No Southeastern or Thameslink trains on the Greenwich line this Sunday
No Southeastern services are set to run this coming Sunday 23rd March through Greenwich as the line to Cannon Street is closed.
Due engineering works London Cannon Street is closed though other lines will still see trains to Charing Cross except Greenwich.
Instead passengers will need to use buses between Lewisham and Charlton via New Cross and Greenwich.
Another option is London Underground between Victoria, Charing Cross, Embankment, Waterloo, Southwark and London Bridge though of course that’s not of great use given the lack of tube stations.

Direct services to Charing Cross from Greenwich were axed back in 2022. Alongside cuts to Charing Cross services through Greenwich Southeastern services were halved for much of the week from four per hour down to two. That’s alongside two per hour from Thameslink (when not cancelled – reliability is poor).
Many off-peak trains also seem now to be shortened to four carriages – and are getting very busy even at so-called “quiet” times.
It’s been noticeable at Greenwich recently, particularly in the shadow of new housing developments nearby. See the main photo for a rising development seen behind the station.
Thameslink are also operating no services on Sunday.

There’s no service between Greenwich and Lewisham all weekend.
There is no DLR to Greenwich this weekend mate
You’ve said DLR can be used instead but there is no DLR between Greenwich and Lewisham at all this weekend per TFL so difficult to use it instead! I’ve lived in the Greenwich area for over 12 years and don’t recall there ever had engineering works on both trains and DLR (at least they had Island Gardens to Lewisham as minimum on DLR when trains not operating). Poor coordination there.
Why can’t trains from Woolwich use the Blackheath route to Charing Cross? It seems that SE are determined to manage decline this line.
Also Greenwich line lost their Charing Cross trains in 2018
The Woolwich Line (Charlton to Slade Green) lost theirs in 2022
If only you could highlight the abysmal service on Thameslink on this line more often 😀
