Many bus routes are on diversion and unable to serve a number of busy bus stops around the station area.

Transport for London state that routes 180, 229, 301, 469 and SL3 are on diversion.

The incident occurred around 12:40pm this afternoon (Thursday 9th May).

  • We had just set off on the SL3 from Thamesmead when the police blocked Harrow Manor Way in both directions even though the eastern carriageway was perfectly clear. If the accident happened at 1240, this must have been half an hour later anyway. We then had to walk to Abbey Wood station, not a vast distance but my wife has just been diagnosed with a heart condition following a kidney transplant earlier this year. She was not pleased.
It took a long time for the buses to be reorganised, allegedly the police had told TfL what was happening but the information had not got through.

  • Second pedestrian accident in six months on this stretch of road. Every day I see cars run the red lights and I see people jaywalk into the traffic. Horrible road. Hope everyone recovers.
