Lounge chain set to open at former supermarket on Sidcup High Street

Plans have been submitted for a new branch from the Lounge Group at the former Iceland supermarket site in Sidcup.

There’s currently around 200 Lounges across the country with each prefixed with a different name. In this case it’s Sarto Lounge.

The group started out in Bristol back in 2002. It seemed there was one in every town in the city by about 2010. They spread quickly to other cities but it’s taken some time to reach much of London and Kent.

While there’s a couple of hundred across the UK the chain doesn’t have a big presence in south east London or Kent.

There’s Pato Lounge in Orpington and another in Wembley but not much else.

Plans can be viewed here.

I've lived in south east London most of my life growing up in Greenwich borough and working in the area for many years. The site has contributors on occasion and we cover many different topics. Living and working in the area offers an insight into what is happening locally.
