Derailed train at Plumstead blocks Southeastern and Thameslink services

A derailed train in Plumstead has blocked Southeastern and Thameslink rail services this morning on the Woolwich line.

A Thameslink train left tracks overnight halting all services between Slade Green and Charlton in both directions.

Network Rail managed to re-rail the train by 7:20am. Checks on damage are now underway.

I've lived in south east London most of my life growing up in Greenwich borough and working in the area for many years. The site has contributors on occasion and we cover many different topics. Living and working in the area offers an insight into what is happening locally.
