Work starts at Greenwich tower site

Construction work has commenced on a Greenwich development including a after years of delay.

The site beside St Mary Magdalene school has seen hoarding erected and heavy machinery begin preparatory work.

This is Plot 18.02 of Greenwich Peninsula’s masterplan, which will eventually see more than 17,000 homes.

472 homes given green light

This specific plot will see a 30-floor block and a 22-floor block and sits next to St Mary Magdalene school from L&Q.

Knight Dragon previously gained approval some years ago but failed to build.

Plot 19.05 in red underway nearby

Another site now underway nearby will see 500 homes, and work at phases of Greenwich Millennium Village continues

I've lived in south east London most of my life growing up in Greenwich borough and working in the area for many years. The site has contributors on occasion and we cover many different topics. Living and working in the area offers an insight into what is happening locally.

    • @John Smith The first line of the article seems to be missing some words after the ‘a’… “including a after years”. Can you please check the wording.

      Thanks.
