Street art in your town? Artists seek spaces for work

A street art group are looking for spaces to brighten areas of south east London.

A number of areas have already seen work from Loruntomi Art including Thamesmead where they worked with local artist Trust iCon and Peabody’s culture team.

Loruntomi Art describe themselves as “a continuous art venture, working collaboratively with local and worldwide talented artists to transform blank unused wall space.” Click here to view their Instagram page.

Do you know anywhere you’d think would be improved, or are you willing to donate wall spaces they own for murals. This can be houses, businesses, hoardings etc.

Recently I’ve taken another look at Abbey Wood station which was supposed to have murals dropped for blank walls. An ideal spot?

The group are looking for new spaces to transform. If I had a business it’d be a no brainer to have some art. Not only for the positive publicity (street art gets many, many views on social media) but also turning drab areas into places worth a visit.

Woolwich underpass a good site?

If you own a business and are interested, contact them here or email loruntomi.art@gmail.com

As a private renter living costs are very high and ads bring in relatively little to the site. I run it alone, and you can support me through Paypal with a one-off or monthly donation here

Another option is via Patreon with offers monthly payments by clicking here

Finally there's the Ko-fi option

Many thanks

There's also a Facebook page for the site here

I've lived in south east London most of my life growing up in Greenwich borough and working in the area for many years. The site has contributors on occasion and we cover many different topics. Living and working in the area offers an insight into what is happening locally.
