Landslip blocks track: Southeastern rail delays

A landslip after heavy rain has seen all trains cancelled towards London in the Greenhithe area.

Network Rail are sending specialists to monitor the ground but state earth movement continues.

Trains from London are subject to delay and cancellation.

Southeastern services are disrupted and many Thameslink trains are outright cancelled instead of turning round at Dartford.

The landslip follows a problem at Grove Park depot which saw many cancellations over the morning rush hour.

I've lived in south east London most of my life growing up in Greenwich borough and working in the area for many years. The site has contributors on occasion and we cover many different topics. Living and working in the area offers an insight into what is happening locally.
