Southeastern autumn timetable begins

Southeastern are making alterations to services from today (10th October) as part of regular autumn changes due to leaves on the line.

Changes will add minutes to journey times and see some stations skipped.

This often manifests to sitting at stations for extended periods.

In other Southeastern news, a problem with points  at Cannon Street is seeing a service cancelled daily until further notice.

The 7:39am morning service from Slade Green to Cannon Street is cancelled. Click here to see details of that service.

Presumably it’s a complex part given there’s no date to fix it. Either that or cuts to rail are starting to bite.

Government are seeking £2 billion in cuts to the rail network.

Southeastern’s current operator Govia will cease running the franchise from 17th October when the Department for Transport’s Operator of Last Resort takes over.

  • The new timetable is a pain. There used to be a Cannon Street bound train that arrived at Lee just after the ‘rush hour’ ends. The 09:31 has been removed.
