Morrisons seek to open Garden Centre at Sidcup store

Morrisons have applied to open a garden centre within the grounds of their Sidcup branch.

The centre would be located within the car park. There’s similar at many other branches.

The store only completed refurbishment work last year.

Takeover

The company are currently in the process of a multi-billion pound takeover battle.

A buyout last month was rejected, though another was approved in recent days from Fortress Investment Group, Canada Pension Plan Investment Board and Koch Real Estate Investments.

Koch Real Estates are owned by billionaire American Charles Koch. He has recently been in the news for funding groups seeking to evict tenants during the pandemic.

This morning it’s reported that another group – Apollo – are looking to bid.

Adverts are far from enough to cover living costs and and pay to keep it going with hosting fees, URL fees and Theme costs adding into the hundreds of pounds.
