Man charged after fatal Plumstead stabbing

A man has been charged today after a 39 year old woman was fatally stabbed in Plumstead over the Easter weekend.

Vasile Bratu, 39, of no fixed address, was arrested on 4th April after police and paramedics were called in the early hours.

The victim was a 50 year old woman discovered in a housing block located on Ravine Grove near the Woodman pub. She died an hour after paramedics arrived.

Next of kin have been informed.

Police requested that anyone with information which could assist can call 101 or tweet @MetCC quoting ref 914/04APR

    • It was a 39 year old man, but you have not made it clear whether it was a 39 or 50 year old woman?
      The sad state of Plumstead today. The common is a no go area at night now. Poor woman.
      Years ago I’d take my dog for late evening walks in the summer? I would pick some wild rhubarb in the ravine for a rhubarb crumble and custard. So sad this is happening now?

    • They haven’t said if it was a random attack or a domestic either way it is tragic
