Body discovered in Thames at Woolwich

The body of a 40 year old woman was discovered in the river Thames beside the Royal Arsenal site in Woolwich earlier today (9th December).

Police have been on site for some time with forensics conducting investigations, focused near the Thames Clipper stop.

Police have not yet released a cause of death. A post-mortem is to be undertaken.
