Man stabbed in Greenwich – on same street as September attack

A man was injured in a stabbing overnight at Bessemer Place on Greenwich Peninsula.

It’s the same street which saw a stabbing in September this year. On that occasion a man in his 20s was injured. Bessemer Place runs from the riverside walk to the park on the peninsula. Residents have complained of ongoing issues with antisocial behaviour.

Police were called last night to the area at 2:31am after reports of a serious injury. Upon arrival a man in his 20s was found with stab injuries.

He was taken to hospital, though his condition has since been assessed as not life-threatening.

There have been no arrests. To assist police call 101.

Running a site alone takes time and a fair bit of money. Adverts are far from enough to cover it and my living costs as a private renter.

I've lived in south east London most of my life growing up in Greenwich borough and working in the area for many years. The site has contributors on occasion and we cover many different topics. Living and working in the area offers an insight into what is happening locally.
