Thieves again target Woolwich Cemetery

Thieves have again partly dismantled a wall surrounding Woolwich cemetery in an attempt to steal parts of the wall.

The latest damage was along Camdale Road in Plumstead (Woolwich cemetery is located in Plumstead). Damage was previously made to a surrounding wall in April 2020:

Bricks were neatly laid out but the attempt was discovered before collection:

I've lived in south east London most of my life growing up in Greenwich borough and working in the area for many years. The site has contributors on occasion and we cover many different topics. Living and working in the area offers an insight into what is happening locally.

    • Thieves are well aware that you have more chance of seeing Tony Blair as seeing a single policemen…any time day or night

    • How sick and low can people stoop too to nick from a Cemetery. I hope they are caught before even more damage is done.
