UPDATE: Erith collision was hit and run. Victim airlifted to hospital
3PM UPDATE: Police have revealed that a van hit a pedestrian and didn’t stop in Erith town centre earlier today.
Police were called at 11:25hrs after reports of a man hit in a collision with a van at Queens Road in Erith.
Police state: “Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and the man – no further details – was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries; his condition is not life threatening.”
“The van did not stop at the scene.”
“A man, believed aged in his 30s, was subsequently arrested on suspicion of GBH with intent and remains in custody at a south London police station.”

There are extensive queues around Erith town centre after a serious collision over the past hour.
Roads are closed with TfL warning various buses are on diversion.

Traffic backed up in all directions.
They’ve just closed the road again from the fish roundabout towards the lights at McDonald’s. It looks like it is for roadworks.
