Lewisham flood repairs underway

Loampit Vale in Lewisham has seen work today to fix yesterday’s flooding.

Thames Water blamed a burst water pipe but gave no further information. This area has been prone to flooding with both the Ravensbourne and Quaggy rivers running nearby.

Part of work for the Lewisham Gateway project saw alteration to the river which now runs through the site and under the station.

Traffic is slow heading east.
