The A2 completely closed around Eltham in both directions due to an incident

Police have closed the A2 entirely in Eltham in both directions due to an incident. Well Hall Road is also closed.

Traffic is being diverted and is very heavy in Greenwich, Eltham and beyond.

It’s best to give the area a wide berth if possible.

4:30pm UPDATE. It appears the road has reopened as an individual on a bridge has been talked down. Traffic delays remain with queues from Kidbrooke back to Hall Place in Sidcup.
