Large police presence after public order incident around Stratford station

A large police presence is currently around Stratford station and the approach to Westfield shopping centre after a public order incident, arrests and reported fights.

Police dogs, tasers and the force’s helicopter have been reported.

Stop and search powers have been enhanced until 3am.

A woman was also seen being treated in the tube station.

I've lived in south east London most of my life growing up in Greenwich borough and working in the area for many years. The site has contributors on occasion and we cover many different topics. Living and working in the area offers an insight into what is happening locally.

The Sun has reported this incident. Stating around 100 youths were involved in an incident in Stratford East London throwing objects and bottles at Police Officers. I hope the lady being treated a Stratford Station is ok and not seriously hurt.
