Supermarket proposed in Woolwich beneath new tower

Commercial space at the base of a newly built Woolwich tower could see an Asian supermarket open on site.

It was a bit tricky to find out the exact name but eventually worked it out as 0086 which wasn’t easy looking at the logo. They also have a shop in Nine Elms.

The final towers of six at this site are now approaching completion on the former Waterfront leisure centre car park.

This proposed shop is in the middle of three blocks facing Woolwich High Street.

The leisure centre itself will close in coming months with the opening of a replacement on General Gordon Square.

    Good intel.

There is a gap in the local market for a oriental supermarket.

  • Yep I can see it doing well. Surprised there’s not one already. Charlton may have the bigger shops which are great but nice to have one closer for the convenience even if smaller
