Fatal stabbing on Woolwich bus
A 14-year-old boy has been pronounced dead after a stabbing on a bus in Woolwich this afternoon.
The incident occurred on a 472 heading towards Woolwich town centre near the Woolwich ferry.
Police were called at 2:28pm after an incident at Woolwich Church Road near the junction with the A205 South Circular Road beside the Mast Quay development.
They state: “Paramedics treated a 14-year-old boy at the scene who had received stab wound injuries, but he very sadly died shortly after medics arrived.
“Police cordons and road closures remain in place whilst emergency services carry out enquiries. No arrests have been made at this early stage.
“If anyone witnessed the incident or has any information which may help, they are urged to call police on 101 with ref 3795/07JAN25 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
The road is closed in each direction and buses are on diversion.
My thoughts are with the family friends teachers and fellow pupils of the young boy who tragically lost his life today.
Hopefully the culprits will be caught soon and dealt with severely by the Courts.
Sadiq Khan Mayor of London and Home Secretary and Justice Secretary should all bow their heads in shame on their record of dealing with crine .
We need to say enough is enough and tackle crime full on especially knife crime
This was the second stabbing in the Woolwich area. On Monday 6 January 2025 there was also a stabbing in the area of Red Lion Lane of another young person.
Sadiq Khan has failed Londoners in his role of Police and Crime Commissioner For London a role he undertakes has Mayor of London. He has been in the role since 2015 so cannot keep blaming everyone else for his failures over the years.
My thoughts are with both the victims family friends teachers and fellow school pupils.
My thoughts are also with the bus driver and the emergency services personnel that attended both incidents..Knife crime is happening all too often and needs to stop.
