Man shot in Woolwich as police seek witnesses

A man is in critical condition after being shot in Woolwich.

The incident occurred last night near Granby House on Ogilby Street near Frances Street and Woolwich barracks.

Met Police said: “Police were called at approximately 22:35hrs on Monday, 10 June to reports of a firearm discharge in the vicinity of Granby House, SE18.

“Officers, including armed officers, attended the scene but no victim could be located.

“Police were subsequently informed that a man, aged in his 20s, had attended a hospital suffering a gunshot injury. He remains in hospital in a critical condition.

There have been no arrests.
