Man in critical condition after Woolwich town centre stabbing

A man was rushed to hospital after a stabbing in Woolwich this afternoon (Friday 10 November).

The incident was around General Gordon Square and Green’s End.

Woolwich’s Coffee Lounge stated “Due to an incident that occurred in The Coffee Lounge today we will almost certainly be closed tomorrow. These are circumstances beyond our control however we apologise for any inconvenience caused”.

The Met state that “Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and found a man, aged in his 20s, suffering stab injuries; he has been taken to hospital for treatment where he remains in a critical condition.

“No arrests; enquiries into the circumstances continue.

“A crime scene remains in place.

“Anyone with information that could assist police is asked to call 101 or ‘X’ @MetCC and quote CAD3558/10Nov.”
