Tesco Kidbrooke set to open near station

Tesco are set to open a new shop in Kidbrooke near the railway station.

A unit at 14-18 Peglar Square is set to be fitted out as an Express store with a licensing meeting to be held on Monday 9 October.

Location

The site sits beside Anderson Road opposite a branch of Sainsbury’s. Other shops nearby include a planned Asian food shop nearby with a branch of Aldi to the north.

Anderson Road separates a residential block completed some years ago with another that only finished this year.

Greenwich Builds council homes coming soon

In recent weeks a new building has begun rising to the south from Berkeley Homes, with hundreds more homes also set to be occupied soon to the north of the railway station on Transport for London land.

Kidbrooke Village phases

At this moment in time there’s around nine separate plot under development across Kidbrooke from a number of developers, including a number of plots across Kidbrooke Village, four from Greenwich Council plus TfL’s development beside the railway station.

And despite that there’s much vacant land still to be built upon including thousands of homes at Phases 5 and 6.

I've lived in south east London most of my life growing up in Greenwich borough and working in the area for many years. The site has contributors on occasion and we cover many different topics. Living and working in the area offers an insight into what is happening locally.

  • Any drone footage available anywhere? The stationery pics make it hard to understand the layout.
