Yet another large fire breaks out in Belvedere

A large fire has broken out tonight (5th December) at an industrial unit in Belvedere beside the A2016 Bronze Age Way dual carriageway.

According to London Fire Brigade half a warehouse on Crabtree Manorway has been hit by fire.

The LFB state that ten fire engines and 70 firefighters are on scene. They add:

“The Brigade was called at 2023. Fire crews from Plumstead, Erith, Bexley and surrounding fire stations are at the scene.”

This latest fire follows a large number in Erith and Belvedere in recent years, including one at Ocado in 2021, another major fire in 2021 on Viking Way and an explosion and fire in 2020.

I've lived in south east London most of my life growing up in Greenwich borough and working in the area for many years. The site has contributors on occasion and we cover many different topics. Living and working in the area offers an insight into what is happening locally.
