Police appeal after robbery on Southeastern train

British Transport Police are looking for two individuals after a robbery on a train approaching Dartford.

They state that the incident occurred around 2.45pm on 11th August when two men approached the victim as it approached Dartford station onboard a Southeastern service demanding his mobile phone.

They continue: “The victim tried to move away from the men, who then grabbed him by the neck, grappled him to the floor and made him unlock his phone.

Both men ran off the service at Dartford railway station.”

Unfortunately they do not state which direction it was coming from or what service the train was which could aid with any witnesses.

Anyone who could help can contact police by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 322 of 11th August.

  • Begs that question whether cctv is becoming rather pointless with the increasing use of facial coverings to avoid cctv positive ID’s. A new approach is needed John.
