Thameslink suspends Greenwich line trains all week as Southeastern run limited timetable

Thameslink have announced that they’ll be no services along the Greenwich line this week due to staff shortages.

The first week back at work for some will however see a shuttle service between Rainham and Dartford.

Changes this week

Those on the Greenwich line requiring services north of London Bridge to Luton via Farringdon will have to change at London Bridge.

Southeastern services are also heavily reduced with just two trains per hour for much of the day.

Woolwich Arsenal

Passenger numbers are heavily down though a two trains per hour service during the day is far below normal service levels of up to six per hour from Southeastern and two per hour from Thameslink.

I've lived in south east London most of my life growing up in Greenwich borough and working in the area for many years. The site has contributors on occasion and we cover many different topics. Living and working in the area offers an insight into what is happening locally.

  • Omicron is cutting a swathe through the workforce. It might not be the deadly strain first feared, but it is proving to be much more infectious than was Delta.
