Bexley Council closes Hall Place gardens

Bexley Council have announced the temporary closure of Hall Place formal gardens due to poor weather and a large number of visitors.

The council state it’s caused “substantial damage to the ground and a health and safety risk to our visitors.”

The public will no longer be able to access the gardens from Wednesday 13 January.

The council continue: “Access to the south parkland will be made available via the main stone gate. Please follow the signs on site which allow for a circular path to ensure maximum social distancing on the route to and from the parkland via the Weir bridge.”

“We will re-open the formal gardens at the earliest opportunity.”
