Dartford crossing closed after police incident
A police incident closed the Dartford crossing this morning leading to long queues across south east London and Kent.
In addition, an accident has compounded problems.
UPDATE – M25 anticlockwise – accident involving two lorries between the Dartford Tunnel and J31 (Thurrock) is BLOCKING one lane of the carriageway – (traffic was being held on the Kent side of the tunnel but has now been released) – there are queues back into Kent. .

The crossing first closed before 10 am and reopened around the time of the accident.
