Man dies after being hit by car in Plumstead

A man in his 60s has died this afternoon (1st July) on Bannockburn Road.

The incident occurred near Plumstead High Street around 2:45pm with the man pronounced dead 35 minutes later.

Police now state a driver is assisting police.



It was a busy time near school pick up and anyone with dash cam footage or residents with CCTV cameras can call 101 and quote reference CAD 4209/01Jul.

An air ambulance along with police attended to scene attempting to help the victim after being hit.
