TfL to recommence schoolchildren-only buses from Monday

TfL are setting up plans to once again provide dedicated services once again for schoolchildren when schools open for more pupils next Monday 8 March.

An additional 200 buses are due to be laid on. Details of changes to various routes can be seen at the TfL website here. Some additional buses are due to be laid on for non-school services running alongside schoolchildren only routes.

School-only buses will operate with double the normal covid restricted capacity allowing all seats to be taken in line with government guidance. Some will run only around school start and closure times while others all day:

  • I think the message for those of us who are not of school age is “don’t go out during early mornings and late afternoons”.
