Further details revealed on Abbey Wood crossbow shooting

London’s Met Police have issued an appeal for witnesses after a 17 year old male was shot near Abbey Wood station.

It is believed the incident started at a bus stop near the station. The report also states “police were called to a report of a crossbow having being shot on Wilton Road SE2”.

There is no bus stop actually on Wilton Road but a number just off it on Gayton Road, Knee Hill and Harrow Manorway flyover. The Met have been contacted for clarification.

The victim remains in a serious but stable condition. The incident occurred “shortly after 10:10pm on Sunday 14 February”.

The Met have taken over the investigation which means a new reference number for witnesses. Anyone with information that could assist police to call 101 or tweet @MetCC and quote CAD 6489/14Feb.
