Crayford Christmas tree dazzles crowds

This year’s Crayford Christmas tree is sure to bring in crowds from far and wide as a majestic Nordic pine was unveiled this week.

Dignitaries fought to be at the grand unveiling of a tree that can stand proud among rivals at Trafalgar Square and Rockefeller Centre in New York.

Some have claimed Bexley borough being in severe financial trouble explains a tree  that appears to be a £9.99 Lidl jobbie. In response, the council state those in the picture are actually hundreds of yards in front of the tree and health and safety necessitated a 15 metre high fence around it – hence the tree appears small.

Form an orderly queue.

I've lived in south east London most of my life growing up in Greenwich borough and working in the area for many years. The site has contributors on occasion and we cover many different topics. Living and working in the area offers an insight into what is happening locally.

  • Hilarious, do enjoy a funny Christmas message. Are they making a point about austerity and underfunding by central Govt? And this is a Tory borough too haha.

  • Imagine the fence cost ten times more than the tree.
