A2 accident closes road this morning

A serious accident caused the A2 to be closed this morning.

The accident occurred below the Sun in the Sands roundabout. According to the Fire Brigade “an off duty police officer and nurse performed first aid before firefighters arrived to take over” and removed the roof.

The closure caused disruption around Greenwich though the A2 now appears to be reopen with traffic flowing freely and buses back on normal line of route.
