Greenwich & Bexley community hospice van stolen

Greenwich & Bexley community hospice are asking the public for help after their van – with registration number NA09 TCK  – was stolen over the weekend.

Anyone with information can contact the hospice at 020 8312 2244 or call police.

I have no further information and am asking for info on location, type of van etc and will update the page soon.

The organisation has already been badly hit with lockdown forcing them to close charity shops earlier this year.

The hospice receives only a third of its funding from the NHS and must raise the rest itself. They care for over 2,500 people every year free of charge.

I've lived in south east London most of my life growing up in Greenwich borough and working in the area for many years. The site has contributors on occasion and we cover many different topics. Living and working in the area offers an insight into what is happening locally.

  • If we had a few of those character recognition cameras around we would at least know which way it was heading….same story for all stolen vehicles.
Usually someone knows within a few hours when a vehicle is stolen but as usual this is a low priority…in other words the police are just not interested.
They have their own Agenda and only pay lip service to the local Community

  • Plenty of ANPR cameras around London. The crooks will know where they are. Sadly successive cuts to the police force means they have to prioritise.

  • Low life if these people know what wonderful work the Hospices do. One day one of them might need or a member of their families need their services .

  • You cannot believe people would be so lacking in humanity to do such a thing. The hospice is a continuing ray of light in a sometimes dark world.

  • This is a terrible crime how low can people stoop !!! The hospice does an amazing job with amazing staff and volunteers helping patients and their families through some very difficult times.

The hospice needs all the help and support it can get and relies heavily on donations from the public.
