  • Obviously a guy will a high intellect….I would think he should be…must be…already well known to the local police….if not why not…he’s not just arrived in Eurostar…..stealing a phone using a gun suggests he may have a drug issue or should need medication….at some future point

  • A thought crossed my mind…with mobile phones these days…shouldn’t be too difficult to find the current position of the phone with GPS but that requires effort by the police…I wouldn’t think they are too excited about this particular crime and just gets added to the List

    • You’ll be surprised. I’ve been robbed of a mobile phone, and the police were keen to ensure it was deemed a robbery. Incident happened around 3.30/4 on a Sunday, they got the CCTV from the street, could determine the block of flats and at 7sh had a call that they had retrieved the phone, by 9pm I was giving a more detailed statement and in the morning they returned it to me. Admittedly the guy was hardly bright, but he had removed the sim as soon as he nicked it! Not the most exciting crime but they managed it and got a guilty…but let’s not talk how long the court case took!!

For context, there were a lot of threats of violence and I had him recorded on the phone!

  • Another terrible part would be if the stations along the line were unmanned which they are some times.
