Revolution in Greenwich Council? Bollards for the axe!
Has there been a coup in the Woolwich Centre? Will rebels be broadcasting from seized twitter accounts in coming days? Well people it could be so.
News comes via informants that bollards in Plumstead are to be removed. Not one or two but a stunning 41 of them near the station and along the High Street.
Half the amazon came down to clutter these streets so this is quite some move.
A mysterious Generalissimo Darren is behind the audacious action which no doubt saw strong resistance.
If you want to enjoy such beautiful vistas as this you better get down there soon.

Bust the champagne. Great news, Well overdue. We can now walk freely down plumstead high street. Until now I was wondering how in Gods earth were we going to be able to social distance on the high street without walking into traffic. The road is narrow enough in some places without the useless clutter.
Murky if u get the heads up on the date of removal can you let us know so we can go down to the high street and wave the rubbish good bye. We can also see how long it takes. Given the councils cost control track record I would hate to hear it costing hundred of thousands to remove.

Good. It will make it easier for people to park illegally. The bollards really get in the way!
Seriously, the other day Plumstead High Street was a disgrace with maybe a dozen parked cars making it a nightmare for the buses.
If all the bollards in RBG were removed, three things would happen, for sure: RBG would have the biggest Bon Fire for miles around, and those lazy Parking Wardens would have to stop wearing out the fabric on the seat of their britches, and start wearing out their leather soles!
So many more railings and bollards that need to go, but this is a good start.
Darren please come up to plumstead common and the slade. Staggering amounts of ugly and unnecessary clutter up here. You can make it happen!
