Work begins building homes on Sidcup park

Trees are being felled at Old Farm Park in Sidcup as part of a project by Bexley Council to build homes.

Bexley Council approved plans last June from their housing company BexleyCo for 60 homes on half of the park site.

So-called “affordable homes” levels are set at 36 per cent. The scheme is due to complete by Autumn 2021.

You can view plans here. As anyone who follows this site knows I regularly go over planning applications. This is one of the least detailed in terms of images of the projects final appearance I can ever recall seeing.

So sad, all green spaces should be sacrosanct. They are needed more and more with the number of flats with no gardens being created. Where will all those people get fresh air?
