Woolwich Arsenal station: Knife found as three arrests made in latest police operation

Police again set up knife arches in Woolwich Arsenal station last night in an attempt to catch passengers carrying weapons.

Three arrests were made. According to police they were:

• An adult male wanted at Hendon Magistrates Court.

• An adult male for theft by finding after being found in possession of suspected stolen goods. He has been released under investigation while enquires continue.

• An adult male for ABH on a Police Constable, Criminal Damage and was later arrested for Disorderly conduct in a police station. This male is currently still in custody.

One knife was found discarded in the station but the holder was not found.

This is the latest round of operations targeting stations in SE London. Woolwich Arsenal has seen a number of prior operations.
