Design alterations proposed for half-built Greenwich hotel

recently announced they are looking to open a long-stalled half-built hotel in 2020 beside the Blackwall Tunnel approach in Greenwich.

Former plans for an Ibis franchise collapsed with the concrete frame standing forlornly for a few years now. With Holiday Inn taking over comes revised plans.

Half built

They are looking to alter the approved facade and adopt a darker colour pallet for the main bulk of the building.

Previous plans saw “two additional part-storeys and extension of fourth and fifth floors to create a Part 4, Part 6 and Part 8-storey Hotel providing 68 Bedrooms” -which was an increase from 50 originally approved.

I've lived in south east London most of my life growing up in Greenwich borough and working in the area for many years. The site has contributors on occasion and we cover many different topics. Living and working in the area offers an insight into what is happening locally.
