Teen stabbed in Charlton near the Valley

A 15 year boy was stabbed this afternoon in Charlton on Valley Grove.

The Air Ambulance landed at Charlton Athletic’s car park to assist the victim.

It’s reported that three men were arrested on suspicion of Grievous Bodily Harm. They range in age from teens to early 20s.

Despite worries of rising knife crime in the capital south east London has seen a reduction in recent weeks.

But across London the levels has not abated to the same extent. A serving police officer in London wrote an extremely informative and revealing article in the Guardian today about the pressures now felt.

I've lived in south east London most of my life growing up in Greenwich borough and working in the area for many years. The site has contributors on occasion and we cover many different topics. Living and working in the area offers an insight into what is happening locally.

  • This may explain why Sainsbury’s Charlton has stopped selling kitchen knives lately. A pointless gesture that frustrates only people who genuinely need to cook and won’t deter a thug from going to Wickes for a utility knife, screwdrivers or a hammer. Too many people to blame and the only ones taking action are the ones who have no direct outcome on it.

  • OMG not again. Section 60 needs to be made permanent by the Met Police in London.

  • The best way to tackle the crisis in Policing is to vote in a Government which will fund it properly.
