Goodbye to another pub? Flats plan for Glenmore Arms in Plumstead

Plans have been submitted to convert a pub to residential usage in Plumstead.

The Glenmore Arms pub closed in late 2016 and plans were approved to convert part of the building to five flats in August 2017. The owner now wants to convert the ground floor bar area.

Vital Investments purchased the building in September 2016 from EIGroup and it was sold on again in March 2018 to “The Glenmore Arms Ltd”.

It’s an attractive inter-war building located around the border between Plumstead and Welling.

  • It is sad to see another traditional pub closed. However, It is good to see the original pub building remains has part of the plans with extensions added to accommodate the additional flats. These old public house buildings do tend to have a lot of character and are a part of our heritage.Nearly every street used to have on on the corner.
