Police raid Thislebrook estate in Abbey Wood

Met Police have this morning launched a multi-agency operation at Thislebrook travellers site in Abbey Wood.

An hour ago police stated the operation was: “due to evidence of drug use, widespread ASB (anti-social behaviour) and violence at the location. So far a number of arrests have been made for various offences with the operation still ongoing”.

  • Well done Met Police.

Much of this is an open secret to those who live nearby as I did in flats over the road. I saw some horrible things from that camp including violence. Also before I left there were fireworks coming from there directed to cars and buses, as well as to people and a lot more. For a long time it seemed some could operate with impunity despite police being told so I’m glad this has happened.

Of course not all people were bad but those that were helped gain a bad reputation which then affected all.

The outside by Harrow Manorway is usually really messy too with flytipped rubbish and cars. The outside pic shows it. Some took no pride at all in the area or actively seemed to want to make it worse. Everyone else suffered. Of course it happens everywhere but not on that scale.

The good people can hopefully now live safely and the criminals know they wont get away with it.

  • Don’t see anything really spectacular in that lot. The general run of the mill lower end criminality offences that would be found on any housing estate or in any town or city. Low level drugs offences boosted into claims of intent to supply because the quantity was above a deliberately low threshold. A couple of dogs that had pups and the RSPCA giving themselves airs above their charity worker status along with their other charity wannabe vigilante buddies. A little bit of fiddling of electric and gas meters. All those resources wasted by the police when there are people being murdered, raped, knifed and acid burned on our streets.

    • If you let them off with the “little things” it will give them the impression they can do what they like and their petty crimes will escalate to the murders etc… As for the dogs having puppies do you know for a fact that this was the case. Many dogs have gone missing/stolen and have been found in traveller’s camps in unused caravans and they will not tell who the caravan belongs too. If you paid £100’s for your dog would you be happy if police did not deal with it…don’t think so.
