Former Plumstead pub sees conversion to housing under new plan

Plans have been submitted to convert a Plumstead pub on King’s Highway into two shop unit and seven flats (2×1-bed, 4×2-bed and 1×3-bed). The former Alma Tavern hasn’t operated as a pub for some years.

A previous plan in 2013 was rejected. Is there a stronger case for change now?

It follows a long line of Plumstead pubs closing. At least this plan would retain the attractive building instead of demolition.

The planning reference is 17/2597/F
